SumTotal won three Gold awards at the NorCal BMA (Business Marketing Association) 2004 Annual Beacon Awards.

The Beacon Awards & Showcase from the NorCal chapter of the Business Marketing Association, recognizes award-winning work from Northern California's most prominent companies. SumTotal is the proud recipient of three Gold awards in the following categories: Integrated Marketing Program, Single Print Ad, and Brand Identity.

The Beacon Awards are open to any client, agency or supplier who has created or produced marketing communications directed to industry, business or professions Each entry was judged by a panel of industry-leading business marketers, innovators, and creators from both agencies and corporate marketing organisations in Northern California. The criteria for judging was based on how well each entry accomplished its stated objectives, including an assessment of communications strategy and creative/production values. Particular focus was given to creativity, innovation, impact, and the effectiveness of the overall effort.
